I will never monetize this newsletter.

This newsletter will sometimes discuss extremely sensitive topics such as war and genocide, some of which will be ongoing as of the time of writing. Personal financial gain in any way from writing about those topics (who I am an observer to) feels deeply wrong to me on a personal level.

This isn’t a judgement on anyone who chooses to monetize their content where they do discuss serious topics and do not use this post as proof that I am better than those people because I understand that we live in a society and people need to keep their lights on.¹

I understand you may find my writing entertaining or insightful and wish to reward me for that but you can do so by sharing these essays with your friends.

At the moment I am financially secure. I do not need your money.

If you feel like parting with your money for a good cause, consider donating to the Ukrainian war effort through United24, Dzyga’s Paw, or ComeBackAlive.

If you’re feeling a little braver, poke around on social media, do your research to make sure they’re legit, and then donate to one of the many organizers who help crowdfund for units and additional equipment they need.
